Your health is one of your most important resources for an independent life. We never know when disease or injury will strike. We never know who will help us. We never know when we need to help someone else.
There is no shortage of online sites and magazine articles urging us to eat better, and to exercise, and to keep up with vaccinations and checkups. It's hard to filter out what you need personally, or to anticipate what you may be in for. Just because a certain thing is "in the family" doesn't mean you yourself will get it.
One of my parents outlived the other by 30 years. How does that figure into my own lifetime equation?
These posting describe some of my own personal medical experiences.
The most important thing I've learned is to keep a positive outlook.
